Kellie Martin, an American actor and actress on television and film. She is popular for her role in the roles of Christy Huddleston in the 'period drama' series "Christy The 'Christy'' series, Rebecca Thatcher in the Family drama 'Life Goes on The Life Goes On', and Lucy Knight in the medical drama "ER". She is also well-known as the lead in her own Hailey Dean Mystery television series. Born to a department store owner as well as a teacher in kindergarten, Martin started her acting career when she was just seven years old when her aunt who worked as a nanny for actor Michael Landon's kids, was able to help her get her a role in the 1982 series 'Father Murphy'. Following her graduation from Yale University in 1982, Martin began to take her acting profession more serious. Her roles were significant on television as well as on the big screen. Martin is also as a dancer and photographer. Since she is a mother of two kids, she's become the National spokesperson for Lupus. Martin has promoted awareness of this disease ever since her younger sister passed away from the illness at age 19.
