Anna Leigh Ashford
Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actor, dancer, and singer. She was a dancer and singer in the early days of Broadway parts comprise Wicked Legally Blonde & Hair. The play You Can't Take It With You her role, she received the Tony Award as Best Featured actress in an Play. Tony Award-winning actor Annaleigh Ashford grew up in a world of her professional career working with highly acclaimed actors and directors across stage as well as television. She has continued to collaborate with award-winning actors on various new projects in the pipeline. Ashford is scheduled to be in the role of Kumail Nanjiani as part of the Hulu restricted series Welcome to Chippendales from creator Robert Siegel premiering on November 22. Ashford currently is working in Searchlight Pictures' horror thriller Dust alongside Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss Bachrach and Ebon Mosch-Bachrach. This film is a Hulu Original and will be streamed through Disney DTC. Ashford is scheduled to return in 2023. She will be starring opposite Josh Groban at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre to perform an upcoming revival production of Stephen Sondheim Sweeney Todd. The show will be led by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team which brought you Hamilton. Ashford has played Paula Jones most recently in Ryan Murphy's FX's American Crime Story Impeachment, which is a remake of the story during which Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp were the main characters of the first ever impeachment proceeding in America. In two seasons, Ashford was the main character of the hit show on CBS called B Positive. The show was co-created by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. It also featured Ben Vereen and Hector Elizondo. Her additional Broadway credits comprise Sunday in the Park with George Wicked Legally Blonde and the original role of Lauren for Kinky Boots a performance for that she won a Tony Award nomination. Ashford has been raised in Denver and now lives split between Los Angeles & New York.
